Infinity Nikki, the open-world, dress-up RPG from former The Legend of Zelda director Kentaro Tominaga, has hit 12 million pre-orders before a release date was even announced.
Official version of the game X/Twitter Account announced the huge milestone, thanking everyone who had already signed up and encouraging others to sign up. A total of 12,206,661 players have signed up for the game so far, but developer PaperGames’ next goal is 20 million, then 25 million, then 30 million.
“Look, a few flying friends are carrying Nikki through the vast sky with their blessing,” the post read. “Thank you to all the stylists for your support and enthusiasm. There are more surprises ahead. Let’s strive together for the next goal.”
Hitting each milestone unlocks specific bonuses for anyone who signs up. So far, players have managed to earn 50,000 Bling, 300 Purity Threads, and, thanks to the latest milestone, three Resonite Crystals.
Reaching 20 million unlocks the Far and Away 4-Star Outfit, reaching 25 million unlocks seven more Resonite Crystals, and reaching 30 million unlocks 10 more.
“Join Momo and Nikki as they embark on a new adventure by collecting clothing items, solving puzzles, and discovering secret areas in the world,” the official synopsis reads. “Dress for the occasion and equip different outfits to access abilities like fishing, catching insects, and floating.”
Infinity Nikki is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, PC, Android and iOS.
