Krafton, creator and publisher PlayerUnknown’s Battlegroundsshared a trailer for its upcoming life simulation game, Inzoias part of Gamescom Opening Night Live on Tuesday. The developers describe Inzoi as a game where players have “full control” and the power to change “anything they want” in their virtual lives. The modern trailer shows off some of the scenarios players can expect, like getting married, partying, and even getting into a car accident.

Krafton has released a gameplay reveal trailer Inzoi in November 2023. It is one of two games the Korean developer showcased at this year’s Gamescom; the other is a fantasy extraction game titled Dark and darker mobile. While this trailer doesn’t provide a specific release date, Inzoi — although the game’s release on Windows PC is planned for the end of 2024 — Krafton is offering interested players a little surprise: from August 21 to August 26, players will be able to download the character creator, Inzoi free to try it for a confined time.

The modern trailer shows off a lot of gameplay elements you’d see in any other life simulator like The Sims series. Your character can get married, babble at other characters in an incomprehensible language, and even set your kitchen on fire. But other aspects of the game, like the realistic art style and urban setting, seem to add a touch of Grand Theft Auto flavor. As shown in the trailer, your character can get into car accidents and have road rage. Or, if you’re more of a party animal, you can make it rain cash while you dance on the beach — your choice.

The developers have emphasized in previous updates that the team wants user-generated content to play a huge role in the game. The development roadmap said the team plans to add modding plugins and an in-game UGC platform called Canvas. The developers say explained in the FAQThey want the game to be a “creativity tool” where players can share and discuss their creations in Canvas.

Inzoi may not be the only reason you’ve heard of Krafton lately. In August, the company announced it had acquired Hi-Fi Fever Tango Gameworks studio. The news came as a relief to many fans after the beloved game studio was shut down by Microsoft and ZeniMax Media in May.
