Oh, and a recent trailer for Indiana Jones And The Great Circle! Great. I’ve been waiting for a nice, juicy slice of extended gameplay. You know, something that really captures the flow of the game, rather than the admittedly impressive but nonetheless very fragmented bits we’ve gotten so far. Now sit back and… oh, wait. Wait. That’s just actor Troy Baker telling me about all the great actors he’ll be playing. That’s great, by the way. He’s doing a fantastic job. Maybe just, you know, a little bit of appreciation or explanation for the whole “interactivity” part?
Anyway, don’t mind me. I’m just an aged fool who likes to push buttons. And to be fair, it’s not like Machinegames doesn’t have a great story. Anyway, here’s some good news: the game is coming out on December 9th of this year. We have a trailer with a release date.
Wait, turns out I’m talking nonsense. This has literally never happened before! This long-awaited explanation actually exists, and on this very site! Edwin chatted with game director Jerk Gustafsson and believes the game will be “a more ‘relaxed’ Wolfenstein and Riddick plus Nazis” at the same time. Nice!
“Larger setups give you the opportunity to be sneaky or brutal, hitting guards in specific orders and hiding bodies or using ironwork. You can throw spears to create surfaces to swing from, for example,” Edwin wrote. “You also have the option to don disguises—there are story episodes that require it, and you build a wardrobe of outfits that you can change out of depending on the situation. In one particular scenario, you get to play a servant and bring wine to a vicious fascist. It doesn’t feel like an Agent 47-level exercise in social camouflage, although the idea of a Hitman level set in one of Indy’s tombs with a cast of bewildered stormtroopers has a certain charm.”
