Broken Sword – Templar Shadow: Reforged is a wonderful remaster of the original 1996 point-and-click adventure, in which protagonists George Stobbart and journalist Nico Collard embark on a journey that immerses them in age-old conspiracies. The game is considered one of the best in the genre and has even received Director’s Cut for the Nintendo DS and Wii consoles in 2009, featured novel content and expanded on the original story, adding novel chapters that intertwined with what already existed.

Some of the improvements in this remastered version of the game include the ability to switch between the novel version and the classic 1996 visuals, a more challenging “Traditional Mode” and a clue-filled “Story Mode” for state-of-the-art audiences, and improved audio. Upon release, the game was praised by critics for its fantastic gameplay, phenomenal sound design, and more, which should sound even better in this version.
