How to Defeat Fuban in Black Myth: Wukong
As you follow the Yellow-Robe Squire through the door, he’ll tell you about the desert area you’re in and the giant beetle hidden in the sand. Remember that echo of the giant sand monster the Yellow-Wind Guai would sometimes summon to crush you? Time to deal with it.
Once the warthog has finished his story, you will regain control Mystery: Kingdom of Sahala area. Activate the nearby “Sandgate Pass” shrine and proceed. A Tiger miniboss called Tiger Avant-Garde will block your path forward. Throw it out to get a Tiger Tally Curio before moving on to the wider area. Open the chest in the building on the left to find rare materials, then activate the second shrine in this area, “Sandgate Bound.”
When you’re ready, approach the Yellow Wind Guai standing on the edge of the ridge next to the drum. After a short cutscene, he will summon a beetle boss. Jump down and play defense until he emerges from the sand. When he emerges, attack Fubanhands until you see another cutscene and are able to climb on his head to steal the item from the statue attached to his shell. Once you free the eye from the statue, the Yellow Wind Guai will jump down and help you finish off Fuban. As you know from the end of Chapter 2, the Yellow Wind Guai is no joke, and the two of you should be able to make short work of Fuban by working together.
Once Fuban is destroyed, the Yellow Wind Guai will transport you out of the secret realm and provide you Wind Tamer Ship. This item will passively increase your damage reduction while equipped, and you can activate it to drastically improve this effect for a short time. Similar to the first chapter, you can return to any of the shrines in the Secret Kingdom using the fast travel system.
