The Pokémon Company today announced that the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will release worldwide on October 30, 2024.
The novel Pokémon TCG card collecting app received a novel trailer along with its release date announcement during the closing ceremonies of the Pokémon World Championships in Hawaii. The novel trailer showed off touchscreen pack opening in various locations and gameplay features like trading with other collectors.
The end of the trailer teased an “Immersive Card” featuring Mewtwo. These cards allow you to explore digital art in a 3D space, giving you a much more in-depth look at the art of the cards than ever before. The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket was announced earlier this year, in February, on Pokémon Day, and this is the first novel trailer we’ve seen since then.
So far, we know you can open two novel booster packs for free every day in Pokémon TCG Pocket. The cards will feature existing Pokémon TCG illustrations and novel cards exclusive to the app. You’ll be able to browse your Pokémon card collection, trade, explore the art in detail, and potentially do more that hasn’t been fully explained yet.
You can pre-register for Pokémon TCG Pocket on the App Store and Google Play right now. If you’re in New Zealand, you can play early during the tender launch – no word on when that will be!
