This Broken Sword The remaster already has a release date and will launch on PC and consoles next month on September 19, 2024. Titled “Broken Sword – Templar Shadow: Reforged“is an improved version of the classic adventure game that first appeared on PlayStation and PC almost three decades ago, in 1996.
Claiming it’s a “significant improvement” over the original game, Reforged will tout 4K visuals, as well as improvements to the graphics, animation, and audio, all aimed at modernizing the point-and-click adventure. Those feeling a little rusty (or perhaps completely fresh to the genre) will also benefit from the game’s fresh “story mode” feature.
This is intended to create a “dynamic balance between narrative and gameplay,” which will hopefully prevent players from getting bogged down in Broken Sword’s more complicated puzzles and allow them to progress through the story with ease.
