Phantom Rose II Sapphire is a modern roguelike deckbuilder coming from PC to mobile. In this game, you play as Aria, a adolescent woman fighting to protect her school from the strange evil that has taken over it. You can find it now on the iOS App Store and Google Play!

Another strategic deckbuilding game? Yes, but this one has its own unique style. With a bit of a mix of anime-style visuals and a dash of Tim Burton-style gothic horror, I can confidently say that Phantom Rose II does enough to stand out. Although it may not be a game that will appeal to deckbuilding skeptics.

So what’s unique about Phantom Rose II? Well, there’s no randomness to the card draw here. Instead, it’s about efficiently managing card cooldowns, a bit like Cultist Simulator, albeit at a much faster pace.

You can find Phantom Rose II on a mobile device in your area, on iOS and Android!

Another deck builder in the wall

This is probably one of those times where I would feel obligated to comment on the glut of roguelike deckbuilder games that have hit mobile devices recently, but honestly, I think it may be more of a survival bias than anything else, as these games have proven popular enough on PC to eventually make the jump to mobile.

So it may be more likely that the value of the mobile platform in offering a way to play games in this genre is finally being recognized, which can only be a good thing. Especially considering how well the game seems to translate to mobile.

In any case, this is just one of many great games released this year. Want to see what else we think is worth checking out? There’s no better place to start than our list of the best mobile games of 2024 (so far).
