Neither of these Pokémon will be used very often as attackers, defenders in gyms, or PvP Pokémon, but getting a shiny is still nice for your collection. The fact that Lileep’s shiny colors look similar to Cradily’s base colors is adorable!
What is the shiny rate for Lileep in Pokémon Go?
According to elderly research conducted by the now defunct website The Silph Road (via Wayback Machine), the shiny ratio for Pokémon on a normal day is approximately one in 500. Lileep is not a confirmed Pokémon to receive a “permanent buff” (meaning it appears infrequently and therefore receives an increased shiny ratio).
What can I do to attract more shiny Pokémon?
Unfortunately, not much. It seems to be a coincidence. Shiny Pokémon catch rates are set by developer Niantic and are usually only increased during special events, such as Community Days or Safari Zones, or in Legendary Raids. There are no consumables that raise Shiny Pokémon rates.
