After receiving positive reviews on PC earlier this year, Spilled! is now available on mobile devices. But is the port of this lovely pixel adventure about cleaning up the ocean and rescuing cute creatures up to par? We passed this along to App Army members to see for themselves.
Here’s what they said:

Spilled! is a cozy, calming game about saving the oceans. We collect garbage and recycle it, earning coins that we can spend on improving the attributes of our ship. The game has a positive message, offers lovely natural areas to play in, divided into different levels that we gradually unlock, and the graphics of the water creatures in the game are stunning. The creators have already stated that the game is brief, but they would like it to have no end, like automatic clicks. One thing I didn’t like at first was the lack of a joystick to control the direction of the ship.

Spilled is a cozy game where the player cleans up the oceans by collecting garbage for recycling. The game has a positive message and raises awareness of what can be done to fight smog (although in a slightly simplified way: completely fine, because the purpose of the game is to entertain). The graphics are nice and the music fits the game perfectly. My only warning goes to iPhone XR players: I couldn’t get the game to run while it worked perfectly fine on my other devices. I recommend Rozlane! for all fans of cozy players.

It’s a nice kind of soothing game with nice graphics and a fairly plain approach to a grave problem. Leveling the boat is not complex and the controls work well. It lends itself to a bit of relaxation and I enjoyed the intense visual effects beneath the surface that are revealed as the oil is collected. My only problem was that there didn’t seem to be much challenge, so I had no motivation to continue. It’s a fun game, and if the issue is essential to you, I recommend a free trial.

Spilled is a super relaxing game where you do good deeds for the environment. You start with a plain boat, and as the game progresses you can upgrade it to immaculate bigger things. That’s right, you are sailing through a filthy environment and your goal is to immaculate up the debris, always keeping everything immaculate. The game works very well on mobile devices and runs very smoothly. The controls are intuitive and basic to operate, the graphics and music are very well done, and everything works so you can play and relax. I liked it very much and congratulate the creators.

The gameplay is plain: immaculate up oil/pollution, upgrade your boat, save wildlife and bring life back to the waters. It’s a relaxing game. The controls take some getting used to. You have forward and back on the left side of the screen and left and right on the right side. They have the form of sliders. For now it just seems like a relaxing game. I have no sense of urgency; it’s rather calming.

Spilled is another game that tries to make you aware of the environment. Unfortunately, there are few real games. Cleaning oil from your boat is not a challenge and you really can’t fail. For me, in Sweden, it is easier to look out the window this winter after months of rain rather than snow and realize that something is wrong with the climate. Nice presentation, decent controls, but lack of challenge, which makes it a complex game to recommend. Adding timers or objections would be helpful.

Spilled is a really fun, no-brainer game. You operate the boat to immaculate up the surroundings – you perform certain tasks for which you also receive additional coins, you collect oil for stations in exchange for upgrades that make this process easier. The game is suitable for relaxing after a stressful day, but not much else. The sound and atmosphere are great, and it’s satisfying to bring color back to the areas you immaculate. If it was intended for educational purposes, it should be a bit more entertaining. I expected a bit more than the game offered.
