How to unlock all endings in Dig to Escape
How to get the main ending in Dig to Escape
At first glance, getting the main ending in Dig to Escape is simple. All you need to do is dig through a tunnel in the floor of the cell to reach the mine shaft below and escape there.
However, getting to this point is a bit more tough. To escape, you can follow the following process:
- Dig as far as you can in the morning to collect items
- At lunch time, go to the chef and get some food to replenish your energy
- On the way back, sell your stuff to the prisoner, then eat the food and dig more
- When night falls close the door to your cell and wait until morning
- You can also apply the vent next to the cell to sell your items again
- In the morning, check what items your fellow prisoners have and buy affordable food
- Then dig some more when you come across gray dirt, buy a spatula from one of the prisoners
- Continue the cycle of selling, eating and digging until you hit darker ground
- Once you reach the next layer, buy a trowel from one of the prisoners
- Finally, keep digging until you reach the golden section at the bottom of the tunnel
- Run away from the prison guard, avoiding obstacles until you reach the ladder and freedom!
The best tip for getting to the end is to take your time. You can easily reach the bottom in about an hour with nothing but free food. Try saving a roll of toilet paper to exchange for digging upgrades when you need them.
While it’s tempting to hike at night, it’s best to just wait until morning. Remember to close the cell door when you kick, because if the guard catches you with the gate open, you will be fried!
How to get the Janitor ending in Dig to Escape
To obtain the Janitor ending in Dig to Escape, you must follow a similar process to the main ending, but with the key difference that you must save 200 rolls of toilet paper to exchange for an illegal access card from one of the other prisoners.
Then, with the Keycard, sneak to the security office in the corridor next to the cafeteria and toilets. Inside you should see a ladder.
Take a ladder and place it under the vent in the janitor’s closet give yourself the opportunity to escape to the air vents.
Then you’ll run into the obscure office where you need it collect the batteries and place them in the fuse box avoiding the patrolling guard to open the outer door and escape!
How to get the rooftop ending in Dig to Escape
Finally, for now, to unlock the Rooftop Ending, you also need to save 200 rolls of toilet paper for the illegal keycard, but instead of the security office, you have to Open the kitchen door next to the chef in the cafeteria.
Then open the freezer inside buy a crowbar from the frozen chef for another 100 rolls of toilet paper.
With the crowbar in hand, tear out the boards covering the vent at the top of the crates at the back of the freezer, then crawl through the vent.
This leads to the roof, where you have to run away from the guard, just like in the mineshaft below, to escape.
