Devolver Digital has confirmed that Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven, a modern DLC content for the sheep-based strategy game, will be released on January 22. As part of the announcement, a modern trailer was released, mostly featuring an animation that appears to set up the events, while the second part gives us a look at the gameplay in petite snippets.
In Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven, players are tasked with finding the souls of dead sheep for Yngyi, the god of winter. With each soul, Yngya becomes stronger, and the challenges facing the Cult may become more arduous. In addition to calming Yngyi, you must survive the frosty winter that has descended on the land. You’ll have to keep the cult members fed and hot so they don’t freeze, there are modern features and tasks to discover, and you’ll also be able to expand your base. There are also modern structures such as the Altar of Exorcism, and the base can be expanded with modern shops and a ranch.
Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven will also have two modern dungeons, Ewefall and The Rot. Ewefall is the outer snowy part of the mountain and is the domain of Marchosias, leader of the Free Pack. The Free Pack does not welcome the Gods and does not allow them to conquer the mountain, so they must be defeated. The rot is the inside of the mountain where everything that lives within it becomes corrupted. In The Rot, some tasks include helping the dragon hatch its eggs and make the garden bloom.
Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven will be available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series XS, Xbox One and Switch.
