A sequel to a beloved title is always tough, especially as a spin-off. And while Persona 5: The Phantom Still, with today’s release of version 2.5, Persona 5: The Phantom X still has plenty of tricks up its sleeve.

First up, and probably most interestingly for collectors and completers, a up-to-date five-star Phantom Thief joins the lineup in the form of Masaka Ashiya. You’ll find them and their five-star Spina Sacramenti weapons in the Most Wanted Phantom Idol contracts, available until December 24.

Ashiya will be a valuable addition to any lineup as he manages to balance offense and defense in a support role. Ashiya can provide shields that raise your defense while also increasing your character’s damage. Be sure to check out our Persona 5: The Phantom X tier list to see which characters with ice attributes he can be paired with.

The Phantom of the Opera

This is what I would call the Marmite feature in this update, considering you either love it or hate it. Tycoon is a up-to-date addition, a card throwing game for four players. By winning matches, you’ll be able to earn Tycoon Points and then redeem them for goodies, including invites, custom cards, and golden tickets to exploit in gacha.

Yes, it’s not exactly an expansion of the story, but there are some decent additions here nonetheless. So why not jump into Persona 5: The Phantom X to see what else is in store, like the up-to-date login bonus and the Super Tycoon event.
