It’s strenuous to believe that the first year of the Nintendo Switch gave us The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild i Super Mario Odyssey We were only a few months away, but it was a truly fantastic start for the system.

If after watching the latest movie trailers you’re wondering what you might have missed, we’ve got good news – one of the best Nintendo games of the last decade (and probably ever) is half price on Amazon for Nintendo’s Black Friday sale.

Thanks to the discounts, the price of the game (which is still $59.99 eight years on) has dropped to just $29.99. Considering its size and scope, it’s a substantial deal, and yet it’s the newest 3D Mario platformer we have.

This massive 3D adventure pairs Mario with Cappy, a fun up-to-date character that allows Mario to transform into characters, enemies and inanimate objects alike, opening up each distinct world’s sandbox for fun puzzles.

With the arrival of Switch 2, the game looks better than ever. Image quality has been improved, especially when playing on a TV, and HDR support has been added. The update is also free.

The the latest trailer for Super Mario Galaxy hints on how to include Odyssey’s worlds and, as we mentioned, the game received free performance boost for Nintendo Switch 2.

The Nintendo development team that worked on Super Mario Odyssey released Donkey Kong Bananza as a Switch 2 exclusive this year, and it’s game of the year.
