Rockstar Games has announced that it will release Red Dead Redemption on PS5, Xbox Series XS, Switch 2, iOS, Android and Netflix. This version will be available on December 2. Owners of the PS4, Switch and Xbox One digital console versions will receive a free update to the fresh version of Red Dead Redemption.

The PS5 and Xbox Series XS versions will have 60 fps, up to 4K resolution, HDR support and improved image quality. The Switch 2 version will support mouse control, DLSS, HDR and 60 frames per second. PS4 and Switch players will also be able to transfer save data to continue where they left off. The mobile version will have touch controls and will also be available on Netflix. The updated version will also be part of the PS Plus game catalog and GTA+ game library.

Back in 2010, in our Red Dead Redemption review, we said: “Rockstar’s latest San Diego title is a can’t-miss game for any fan of the genre or great action-adventure games in general. It’s not often that we come across masterpieces here, but this is certainly one of those moments where gamers will be more fond of the dusty old 6-shooter than anything involving car lifting. The Wild West is therefore the new New York, and Rockstar has prepared for them if they want Grand Theft Auto V to be anywhere close to that.” the majesty of Red Dead Redemption. It’s a job we don’t envy.
