Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have revealed a DLC expansion for Elden Ring: Nightreign, which will be released soon. Coming soon. Elden Ring: Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows will debut on December 4, 2025. It’s less than a month away!
The Forsaken Hollows will introduce additional Nightfarers, Bosses and more to the multiplayer spin-off of one of FromSoftware’s most beloved games.
The update will introduce Scholar and Undertaker as two modern playable Night Walkers. They are described as follows:
- Scholar – A scientist who walks the lands between. With impressive Arcane levels, she gains incredible benefits from battlefield surveillance.
- Undertaker – A prioress who was entrusted with the task of killing the Night Lord. Boasting impressive strength and faith, she dispatches enemies to the afterlife with ruthless efficiency.
This DLC expansion will also feature two modern bosses, as well as the modern area The Great Hollow, which adds a pit to explore beneath the Limveld. These include exotic ruins and temples, sacred towers of forgotten peoples, and crystals, and contain life-draining miasma that you’ll probably want to avoid.
Those who pre-order the DLC will receive the digital artbook and mini soundtrack as a downloadable app, although they were previously available as part of the Deluxe Edition and Deluxe Update Pack. In fact, The Forsaken Hollows DLC is available to those who purchased the Collector’s Edition or Nightreign Deluxe Edition.
While Elden Ring Nightreign is good, it hasn’t gained the same recognition as its predecessor and currently sits at 77 on Metacriticalthough that didn’t stop millions of passionate FromSoftware fans from starting the game as soon as possible. We gave the game a solid 7/10 in our review, and Jason said: “Elden Ring Nightreign is a fun twist on multiplayer, but it also falls short of the dizzying levels we’re used to seeing from FromSoftware. It’s an interesting experiment and I’m glad it exists despite my mixed feelings, but it’s a shallow blessing when I expect a much deeper experience from the company.”
