Given Dispatch’s popularity, we’d bet that the seemingly inevitable Season 2 will be announced in the not-too-distant future.
But apparently developer AdHoc Studio wasn’t really thinking that far ahead. Already.
Speaking of the latest Friends for a second podcast, studio co-founders Nick Herman and Pierre Shorette admit that “they will now have to at least think about a second season.”
Indeed, Shorette went so far as to say that the entire topic was a “question mark three weeks ago” before the Dispatch was even released – but a lot has obviously changed since then.
The first season of Dispatch will end in a few days. The last two episodes, episode 7 and episode 8, will start on Wednesday, November 12.
But wait, what does AdHoc even work on after sending? Well, the developer now has another project in the oven. This is a collaboration with Critical Role – the very popular tabletop group that helped produce Dispatch.
It appears that this second project is still quite early in production, so it could be quite some time before we hear about a potential Dispatch sequel.
