GTA 6 delayed again, this time to November 2026 – Rockstar says additional time is needed to deliver the quality players “have come to expect and deserve”

Grand Theft Auto VI is one of the most anticipated games of all time and certainly the most anticipated game of all time. Publisher Rockstar Games has just announced on the X platform that the game’s release has been delayed by several months to November 19, 2026.

This will wait in between Grand Theft Auto V and its continuation is definitely the longest in the history of the series, lasting over 13 years, or approximately two entire generations of consoles.

When GTA V came out, the PlayStation 3 was just being phased out in favor of the PS4 and when GTA VI drops, we’ll likely be bombarded with PS6 rumors as the current-gen PS5 console nears the end of its life.

Rockstar expressed gratitude in response to the original post, thanking fans for their support and patience. It would be fair to assume so Grand Theft Auto VI has more pressure on it than Cyberpunk 2077which initially didn’t work, but has since gained a cult reputation after updates greatly improved the base game. Let’s hope so GTA VI launches in a state that impresses from the start.

And to think that after this we’ll still have to wait for the PC version.
