- Crunchyroll Game Vault is celebrating two years of work
- The streamer’s subscription gaming service boasts of many exclusive features
- Two modern releases have been confirmed: Lost Hellden and Beyblade X Xone
For two years now, Crunchyroll Game Vault has been one of the dim horses in the world of subscription games. Offering a wide catalog of the best releases from Japan, including many spin-off releases, Crunchyroll Game Vault has proven to be quite popular with fans.
For those who don’t know, Crunchyroll Game Vault not only brings Japan-exclusive mobile games to the West, but also a host of debut releases never before seen on our humble platform. For example, Crunchyroll’s exclusive mobile port, Shogun Showdown, was nominated for the Pocket Gamer People’s Choice Awards a few months ago.
Interestingly, the first of them is none other than a JRPG game developed in France! Lost Hellden features hand-crafted 3D graphics with illustrations by Takeshi Oga and music by composer Hitoshi Sakimoto. In addition to its release on PC and console, it will also debut on mobile devices courtesy of Game Vault.
Let it rip!
On the other hand, we have a slightly more celebrated name in the form of Beyblade X Xone [sic]! Based on the anime series of the same name, which you can naturally catch on Crunchyroll, it delivers the same thrilling action that resulted in these toys being banned from school yards.
While this may be a rather tame announcement, it seems only fair that Game Vault will rest on its laurels a bit. There have been a lot of fascinating titles coming to mobile devices courtesy of the site over the past few years, so you can bet I’m keeping my eyes peeled for more.
However, if you’re skeptical of both subscription games and established app stores, you may be lost. In that case, why not exit the AppStore and head over to the third-party sites with our feature of the same name and see what Will thinks of this week’s Blackjack Ascension topic?
