The Witch’s Bakery wears its inspiration on its sleeve, and that’s not a bad thing.
From a magical cat to hand-animated retro vibes, the upcoming PS5 creation delivers Kiki delivery service in Paris – but with more pretzels than parcels.
The game – which will be released in 2026 – is described by Sunny Lab Games as a “magical adventure RPG” where you “cure hearts one croissant at a time.”
Playing as the sorceress Lunne, the game will be a slice of life where you can treat the emotions of your hungry customers with artisan baked goods.
You’ll live from day to day as a cheerful witch, kneading bread and exploring the idyllic streets of Paris. Apart from some budget constraints, everything looks stunning.
The game will play out in three phases, as described in the press release:
- During the day, Lunne manages her bakery and serves customers with her team of friends.
- An evening during which Lunne explores Paris, builds relationships, discovers the city’s secrets and penetrates the worried hearts of her friends.
- A night during which Lunne relaxes, perfects her magic, decorates her bakery and spends time in her cozy atelier.
Everything looks lovely, right? We really like the Ghibli-esque atmosphere and these wonderful Parisian views. We almost can taste macarons from here!
The game is available on the wishlist on the website PS Store now, so be sure to do so if you’re interested in knowing when it’s released. As we said earlier, we haven’t given any date, but it’s certainly worth keeping an eye out for.
