Marvel Rivals Zombies: The best version of Jeff

Published:

Using Jeff in Marvel Rivals Zombies may seem counterproductive. After all, the additional nerf to the little guy’s fire means he’s unreliable, and his main fire beam is hardly suitable for tearing through the undead. However, there is one part of his kit that makes him almost unstoppable: hide and seek.

Below we describe how to assemble the solid Jeff’s build in Marvel Rivals Zombiesincluding how to effectively utilize Jeff in boss fights.

A quick and straightforward building strategy is to simply pour all your moon tokens into Jeff’s blue powers. They are all useful, but these are the most significant:

  • Forward Frenzy – Increases damage from hide and seek hits
  • Tidal Core – Increases skill energy cap
  • Bubbling Impact – Colliding with healing bubbles causes area damage
  • Shark Sovereignty – Jeff’s speed, damage, size and detectability boost with each enemy he swallows during his Ultimate

The idea behind this build is to literally run into enemies while hiding underwater. Sit in one place, move slightly back and forth, and you’ll destroy your enemies in the blink of an eye. This is one of the easiest ways to deal with tougher enemies (riot soldiers with shields), and it makes Jeff fantastically useful in boss fights. However, he can still take damage while hiding. Namor’s creatures will attack him, and the Dead Queen’s chaos energy beams will also damage him.

Make sure to stack some generic purple buffs that boost Jeff’s health in between earning blue blessings.

Shark Sovereignty’s legendary power speed isn’t particularly significant to Jeff in this mode, but the extra damage and size are very helpful. Forward Frenzy is the core of this build, and stacking Tidal Core allows Jeff to stay in stealth mode almost constantly.

Bubbling Impact is significant in boss fights because it allows Jeff to deal extra damage in hide and seek mode. This is indispensable on higher difficulties, and even more significant if your allies are perhaps not performing as well as they could. Spitting bubbles around where the boss is – such as around the Dead Queen when she’s about to erase reality – allows you to passively stack damage by simply touching the bubbles while swimming back and forth.

And that’s basically it. Make sure you spend your attribute points in the blue column, and when fighting Namor, while the water zombie is in the air, focus on getting rid of his creatures while the other characters attack him. Once he’s on the ground and swinging the whale back and forth, you can utilize hide and seek to quickly deplete his health bars.
