Famous Fortnite Leaks like Shiina and HypeX have been teasing this since August, but the game is officially adding companions. On November 1, your Battle Pass will feature Peels, a banana-like dog that will run alongside you, providing companionship in battle and reacting to its surroundings. Fortnite is calling for these companions Helpersand others, apart from Peelings, will appear in your store on November 7. We can’t wait to see how they change the battlefield.
So far, we know that you can customize your little buddy, both in terms of appearance and name, but you can only change his appearance once, in your locker, when you first purchase him. If you regret something, there is a solution, but it is quite drastic. The Fortnite website suggests you can change it, but you’ll have to buy the companion again if you want to reset its appearance. The naming system is uncomplicated, presumably as long as the name chosen does not violate the Terms of Use. For your children’s safety, cabin accounts will include a list of names to choose from.
As for Peel, it looks like he may be subjected to the rot treatment that Peely received from the banana peel, starting out as a fresh boy and then slowly deteriorating. Yes. Cosmetics are a different matter because there is a fresh system. Most companions will passively earn helper points, meaning you just need to equip them and you can exploit those points to unlock fresh cosmetic items for your helpers. Cute clothes, little bouncy balls – no matter what animal-related items come to your mind, they will definitely be there.
We’re excited to see a animated companion system for Fortnite, after previous trials with pets have been nothing compact of brilliant. They will be available in all games created by developers, provided that the creator interests little boys. As for the official Fortnite modes that our friends can join, they will be available in Battle Royale, Save the World, Fortnite Festival, and Lego Fortnite for now. Whether Fortnite plans to expand this list, we don’t know yet. The compact trailer suggests that your friend will react to your emotes along with you, so the Festival simply becomes a party for two.
The Helpers who come to the store include the dogs Bonesy and Spike and the dinosaur Lil’ Raptor. You’ll get Bonesy for free if you already have the Bonesy backpack, which is nippy. The Fortnite website promises skins will be coming soon for us cat lovers – I imagine Garfield would take it very well. We can also see a goldfish in a bubble, which will be a treat for fish lovers. What about the rest of the Helpers? Well, I can’t wait to see what Epic has in store. Maybe a little parrot? Gecko?
Whatever’s next for Fortnite Helpers, you can be sure you’ll hear about it here, we also have all the latest Fortnite giveaway codes, and check out if you agree with our list of the best Fortnite skins.
