What is Resident Evil Requiem?

The game begins when a body is discovered in an abandoned hotel. The person appears to have died of a strange, unidentified disease. You, as FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, are sent to investigate a mysterious death that just so happens to take place in the same hotel where your mother died eight years ago.

As you face your traumatic past, you also discover a connection between this fresh body and the events in Raccoon City – where your mother was a reporter and escaped the carnage.

In terms of gameplay, you can switch between first and third person perspective at any time. It looks like another murderous character is chasing you through the game, as our game critic discovered during a hands-on preview of Resident Evil Requiem. We’ll have more information when Capcom releases it ahead of the game’s February 2026 launch.
