Gameplay Group International has announced that the recently announced Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game will soon receive a closed alpha release, although no release date or method of applying has been confirmed yet. The announcement is also accompanied by a gameplay clip of Aang, Korra and Zuko fighting each other, with Korra also entering the Avatar State at the end of the footage.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game will launch with 12 characters on the roster, although this roster will be expanded as part of the seasonal model. Players will also be able to choose support characters who will be able to aid in battles, and there will also be a single-player story mode. The development team also mentioned a movement-centric “Flow System” allowing for gameplay, cross-play, and a possible name change in the future. Confirmed characters so far include Aang, Korra, Zuko, Katara, Toph, Sokka, and Azula, with Korra currently being the only Legend of Korra character announced while the others are from The Last Airbender.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting will be released in 2026 on PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series XS and Switch 2.
