Should you choose Crabble Claw or Raptidon Fin as your Inez transplant in Outer Worlds 2?

Published:

Deciding between Crabble Claw and Raptidon Fin for Inez Outer worlds 2 seems like a substantial choice and that’s because it is. The choice of monster piece that Ethel Tinsley implants into Inez’s body will change how she fights and the role she plays in your party – and you can’t change your mind.

Below, we explain how transplantation works, what can be achieved with both treatments, and whether you should choose it Crabble Claw or Raptidon Fin IN Outer worlds 2.

We recommend choosing the Raptidon fin. Crabble Claw seems to be an excellent choice, but in our experience the base plasma damage and burn effect over time are quite low even when Inez is at a higher level. Unless you specialize in leadership and perks that allow your companions to utilize their abilities more often, it doesn’t change the game much. You also have many ways to reduce armor solo more quickly and effectively, such as using a biomass gun. The corrosion damage it deals practically evaporates armor, and the gun’s high rate of fire means you’re able to reduce armor much faster than Inez with her skills.

VAL is the only companion that can heal you, which automatically increases the value of Raptidon Fins. You can combine Inez with VAL and have a ready source of non-toxic healing in combat, useful if you’ve gone bust on your inhaler or want to save stacks. Or if you don’t want to keep VAL around and want to utilize another companion, you don’t lose your healer.

Subsequent updates to both mutations unlocked through the skill tree boost their capabilities, but do not change them drastically. For example, Crabble Claw will leave a pool of plasma that damages any enemy that comes into contact with it, while Raptidon Fin generates a cloud of healing mist. These are useful improvements, but do not drastically change the performance of any graft. They simply boost the effect.
