Battlefield 6 developers have changed course on controversial changes to Conquest mode after backlash from players.
Battlefield Studio has lowered ticket sizes for its large-scale Conquest multiplayer mode to ensure that matches “complete at a more natural pace.” To achieve this, Battlefield Studios reduced ticket sizes – which essentially represent each team’s available reinforcements – from 1,000 tickets to a unique ticket target for each map.
Players, however, were not convinced that the lowered ticket requirements would make Battlefield 6 a better experience, and called for a return to 1,000-ticket matches and longer games.
Now Battlefield 6 has done just that.
“We have heard your feedback regarding the recent reduction in Conquest starting tickets, and we will restore the number of tickets on all maps to their original starting value of 1,000 and 45 minutes of timed rounds.” – the developer said in a message to his community.
“Please note that on larger maps such as Mirak Valley and Firestorm, this change may lead to longer match times.
“We will continue to monitor player feedback and gameplay data to ensure proper pacing and overall flow of matches.”
Battlefield Studios has been actively involved in the community since the record-breaking launch of Battlefield 6, issuing a number of statements regarding various complaints and promising changes. Indeed, today the developer addressed complaints about the pace of progress by increasing XP gain and promising to target XP farms.
Meanwhile, Battlefield Studios has announced that more updates will be coming next week, or maybe even sooner. Covers visibility, weapon bloom, vehicle non-spawning, and more.
“This is just the beginning,” it wrote. “As we prepare to launch Season 1, you can expect further changes as we continue to refine gameplay, progression, and experiences based on your feedback. Thank you for being a part of this community, and we’ll see you on the battlefield.”
