Anno 117: Multiplayer modes in Pax Romana have been described in detail

Ubisoft has revealed details about the multiplayer modes in Anno 117: Pax Romana, confirming that players can compete with each other, cooperate and even play the game’s campaign together. Ubisoft also stated that mods will be usable in multiplayer, although they will require all players to install the same mods in order to work.

Anno 117: Pax Romana’s PvP mode allows up to four players to challenge each other to capture the best locations, strengthen alliances and go to war. In co-op, players take on the role of the same Governor to share responsibilities, and you will need to work together to keep everything running smoothly, lest you want your faction falling into the hands of outside forces. Third, you can combine PvP and co-op. You can have four teams of four, each a governor, fighting each other. Multiplayer will be invite-only, so you’ll need to have people on your friends list if you want to play with them. Another fresh feature is cooperative live save games, where players can continue cooperative play on their own and re-invite friends to join later. Anno 117: Pax Romana will also feature a cross-play mode. When the DLC is released, all players will be required to own it if they want to apply the multiplayer game, there will be a day/night cycle, and the game will not include text or voice chat features.

Anno 117: Pax Romana will be released on November 13 on PS5, Xbox Series XS and PC.
