The Battlefield 6 team at EA and Battlefield Studios is reducing ticket sizes for the large-scale Conquest multiplayer mode, but players aren’t convinced that these changes will improve the pace of matches.
The Conquest match structure has been updated official post from the Battlefield Comms X/Twitter account. It details the overall changes to each Conquest map in Battlefield 6 as the developers want matches to “complete at a more natural pace.”
To achieve this, BF Studios says it has reduced ticket sizes – which essentially represent each team’s available reinforcements – from 1,000 tickets to a unique ticket target for each map. These range from 900 tickets on maps like Siege of Cairo and Empire State to 700 tickets on maps like Mirak Valley and Operation Firestorm. You can see the full list below.
New Conquest ticket sizes in Battlefield 6
- Siege of Cairo from 1000 to 900
- Empire State from 1000 to 900
- Iberian offensive from 1000 to 900
- Liberation Peak From 1000 to 800
- Manhattan Bridge From 1000 to 800
- Operation Firestorm From 1000 to 700
- The city of Nowy Sobek from 1000 to 900
- Mirak Valley from 1000 to 700
“Previously, multiple rounds would go to a timeout instead of ending when one team ran out of tickets,” the post explains. “We will continue to monitor feedback and data to ensure that each match is executed correctly.”
BF Studios says its goal is to keep matches at a more natural pace, but players aren’t convinced Battlefield 6 needs lowered ticket requirements. In fact, many say they enjoy playing 1,000-ticket games and the stress of last-minute returns. What really hampers the pace for many isn’t the high ticket demands that cause the timer to run out – it’s the timer itself.
why have a time limit? what’s wrong with longer games? I swear a conquest used to take 30-40 minutes

“An easier solution would be to simply remove the time limits” – content creator @MoiDawg replied. “Close matches are amazing, and this artificial time limit ruins comebacks. Let’s just play Conquest. I don’t jump into a game of Conquest thinking it will end in 20 minutes. A huge L.”
Other Battlefield 6 fans agree, and many have already seen replies to the post that recommend simply increasing the timer or removing it altogether. Some are surprised by any changes, explaining that they have yet to see a match reach the time limit, even after dozens of hours of playing Conquest. There are those who report that they experience matches that go beyond the time limit, but even they find that slightly longer matches can completely solve the problem.
“Can’t you just add 10 minutes to the timer?” one A Reddit user suggests.
“God forbid the conquest match lasts longer than 15 minutes” – another Answer X adds.
In the meantime, BF Studios joined separate post that the Out of Limits vehicle timer on the Manhattan Bridge map in Battlefield 6 Conquest and Escalation has been increased from five to 10 seconds. While the community seems to be accepting this change with open arms, the announcement post itself has already been met with more calls to roll back the recent Conquest ticket changes.
Players who load a match in Battlefield 6 Conquest are currently told that the average match will last 20 minutes, although games have been known to last between 15 and 30 minutes. Today’s patch is already in effect, so it’s unclear whether BF Studios and EA have plans to roll back the changes yet.
Battlefield 6 launches on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S: October 10. Since then, the BF Studios team has maintained communication, delivering patch after patch that adapts to players’ needs, and the numbers quickly exploded after its release.
We’ll have to wait to see if the developers plan to respond to the feedback they’re receiving from fans. In the meantime, be sure to read our 8/10 Battlefield 6 multiplayer review. You can also read about a recent issue that caused players to experience hit registration issues.
