Eterspire brings massive changes to the indie MMORPG, including a brand modern class

Published:

  • The hit indie MMORPG Eterspire is getting its first modern class in the form of the Archer
  • Drop volleys of arrows at your enemies, break armor with piercing arrows and escape with smoke bombs
  • A package of modern changes and additions for free-to-play players is also available

With the announcement earlier that MapleStory: Idle RPG is opening pre-registration, some MMORPG purists may feel left out. But if so, don’t worry, because the hit indie MMORPG Eterspire is getting major modern changes, including the introduction of its first modern class!

Fresh off the introduction of dedicated ranged enemies, the first additional class in Eterspire is none other than the Archer. I probably don’t need to explain their abilities, but beyond the obvious, they boast volleys of arrows, penetrating shots, and even smoke bombs that provide them with everything from buffs to dodges.

There are also a number of significant modern changes to the overall free-to-play experience of Eterspire. For example, all players will now have 50 additional inventory slots, and free players will now start with 80 slots. Meanwhile, you’ll also be able to spend gold to reset skills as often as you like, although this cost scales with your character level.

Draw and relax

As you continue with the changes in the free-to-play version, you will find that the Soul, Heart, and Blessed Fragments have left the Eterspire store. The last two can now only be obtained with Bastion Points in the Bastion store. You can now also earn Teleport Orbs via mob skills and gain EXP even if your inventory is full, though with reduced drop and growth rates accordingly.

These changes may seem insignificant, but considering that developer Stonehollow Workshop is faced with the enormous task of managing an MMORPG (a release that requires a lot of resources to maintain), it’s admirable how much effort they put into it.

Regardless of when you hop on over to Eterspire to try out these modern changes, you’ll also find a modern Halloween event in full swing at the Stonehollow Fairgrounds!
