In an unusual announcement, Dragon Ball FighterZ is getting a up-to-date character Next year.
The game, which was first released in 2018 on PS4, was ported natively to PS5 in 2025. However, the addition of Goku (Super Saiyan 4, DAIMA) as DLC in Spring 2026 will be the first roster expansion in over four years.
This is truly amazing, long support for fans of the game.
Additionally, competitive players can be excited to hear that a balance update is coming today, October 12, that will bring “strategic depth to Z-Reflect” and updates to “every character.” The full set of patch notes will be released later today.
Of course, developer Arc System Works has talked about wanting to support Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls for ten years, and this is an example of how mighty its post-release support can be.
Continuing to release game balance updates and up-to-date characters for Dragon Ball FighterZ this behind schedule is an amazing show of support for everyone invested in the game, so we’ll be sure to reboot it and play a few rounds to appreciate all the developers’ challenging work.
