There are few better ways to spend your Game Pass money than to spend dozens of hours playing a huge, meaty RPG – and Persona 4 Gold it is one of the largest and meatiest in the area. You play as a high school student who has just moved to the sleepy rural town of Inaba. During the day, your goals are to make up-to-date friends, take a part-time job or two, and keep up with your studies. At night, you’ll work to solve a disturbing serial murder case by exploring several bizarre dungeons themed around your friends’ deepest insecurities. You know, regular teenage stuff.

With a memorable cast of characters, strategic turn-based combat, impeccable visuals, and a plot with more twists and turns than a bucket of curly fries, Persona 4 Gold It’s considered a classic for a reason. It also features an incredibly addictive gameplay loop that will keep you awake long past your bedtime, night after night. —Jen Glennon

Receiving up-to-date major releases like Ninja Gaiden 4 is Game Pass’s main selling point, but I’ve always appreciated that the service sometimes adds shine to much smaller games. A great example can be found in Sopa: The Story of the Stolen Potato. Inspired by A spiritual tripThe charming indie game is a magical, realistic adventure steeped in South American culture. Asked to facilitate his grandmother prepare soup, Miho is drawn into a colorful world full of potato-picking frogs and other eccentric animals. Sopa It’s reminiscent of an educational computer game from the 1990s, in which Miho solves puzzles and helps the inhabitants of the world by collecting an inventory full of items. Even if it’s a little abrasive around the edges, Sopa is a sweet game that pays tribute to South America. —Giovanni Colantonio

Cocoon leaves Game Pass on October 15, so you only have a few days left to play with your subscription – and you definitely should. Developer Geometric Interactive created one of the best puzzles of its generation in 2023 Cocoon. Its core puzzle mechanics are based on moving between worlds within other worlds, and you’ll often carry these worlds in the shape of colorful balls with you. Although there are no explicit instructions, it’s all about it CocoonThe puzzles are designed in a highly intuitive way, although they will also pose a challenge. The year 2023 was huge a year for gaming, to put it mildly, so this isn’t a surprise Cocoon was somewhat overlooked by the masses. Let’s fix it. —Austin Manchester
