Yacht Club Games has announced that it is delaying Mina The Hollower, with the developer saying that the game will not be ready for launch until October 31st. The delay is not expected to be too long, but Yacht Club Games does not intend to announce a novel release date until the game has been uploaded to platforms and passed all necessary steps.
In a statement, Yacht Club Games wrote:“This week, our team made a hard decision: we have decided to delay Mina the Hollower. The entire crew has been working tirelessly day and night to complete the October 31st release, but we are not there yet. This is not a major delay, just a compact time for final polish and balance to make the game truly shine. With that said, we would like to apologize! Nevertheless, we will not waver in our commitment in quality. Our goal is to make sure our development team has the time and resources to deliver an amazing experience, and we’ll give you just that. This is not an empty promise!
We don’t want to announce another release date until it’s been uploaded to platforms, so please wait until we get to the finish line. The game is almost finished – we play it from start to finish every day. In recent hours, the crew has been working on this:
- Finalizing the design, graphics and sound
- Overall game balance
- Localization implementation
- Eating cheese
- Testing, testing, testing… on all platforms!
Thank you for your understanding and patience.”
Mina The Hollower was announced three years ago and is an action adventure game inspired by the 8-bit aesthetics of the Game Boy. Mina is a mousy, whip-wielding inventor who uses this signature weapon to attack enemies and to whip walls and objects in the world to destroy and manipulate them. The game is expected to be released on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, XS, Xbox One, Switch, and Switch 2.
