If you told me last year that my fancy and steep keyboard keyboard will be replaced by a retro (and much cheaper) wireless disc from 8bitdo, I would be surprised. And yet the 8BITDO Retro mechanical keyboard was a pride in my desk space since its arrival.

I should explain that the N Edition on sale is actually a bit different than the one I employ every day. Mine is a C64 keyboard, which seems and sounds very similar, except for the C64 version has highly curved keykat (to imitate Commodore 64) and is equipped with a super stick.
Effectively both keyboards are equipped with super buttons that connect to the keyboard and can be reprogrammed to perform a manual action. In my case, the left begins and stops recording, and the right video game from the last thirty seconds of each game I played.
However, Super Stick provides access to four subsequent controls through the joystick. For the most part, I didn’t really employ it, I chose N Edition because of its aesthetics.
There is always luck when cheaper from two options is the one I chose independently.

Retro 8bitddo is a neat keyboard in not only its aesthetics. The switches are heated, they are equipped with well -sounding keys, has hundreds of batteries’ lifetime from one load, and are wireless, both via Bluetooth and a 2.4 GHz connector, which can be drove on the back of the keyboard when it is not used.
In my time with retro 8bitddo retro I found that the keys are very clamorous. The loudest, which I used on a game keyboard last year, at least. In addition, 8bitDo software is at best mediocre. Customizing the keys via the software is a bit more complicated than I would like. Fortunately, you don’t really have to touch him at all and ready to work.
It became my everyday driver, partly to how nice it looks on the desk, but also how reliably it is to employ and how useful its compact additional functions are.
