Microsoft has announced a sedate Xbox Game Pass shock, bringing more games to players in four versions, including the addition of Ubisoft+ to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but with the fact that the highest level becomes stunning, honestly by a 50% augment in price.
The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has long been available in Game Pass, providing access to the Game Library, access to many up-to-date editions (including all games of the first events), streaming games in the cloud and online console multiplayer online. Now Microsoft guarantees at least 75 -day games that will be added each year, and the addition of Ubisoft+ Classic and Fortnite Crew.
The price of Game Pass Ultimate has increased over the past few years and has been $ 19.99 and 14.99 GBP per month since last summer. Now, however, the price increases by 50% to USD 29.99 and 22.99 GBP per month.
This is justified by the addition of Fortnite crew, which is valued at 12 USD per month, because it gives Fortnite Battle Pass and 1000 V BUCKS each month and the Ubisoft+ Classics library, which is valued at 8 USD per month. It begins to sound a bit like cable TV or Sky Sports, in which you pay your nose for a huge channel package, even if you really want the only thing.
This is now a huge premium on the game pass ultimate, and although there are accessories and more promises, it seems that Microsoft adapts the business model in such a way as to compensate for “lost” revenues from the sale of the game at the first event. If you don’t see any value from Fortnite Crew or Ubisoft+, this is only a huge price augment.
PC Game Pass is another way to get Day One matches in a more confined way. This is only useful in the case of a computer with Windows – and the upcoming Ally X Handheld – and grows from $ 11.99 / 9.99 £ to 16.49 USD / 13.49 GBP. The only change here is the addition of Ubisoft+, receiving it for $ 4.50 / 3.50 GBP.
The Game Pass standard has now been changed as Game Pass Premium, fortunately maintaining the same price point of 14.99 USD / 10.99 GBP. This actually becomes a better offer, because although you don’t have Day One games, you’ll add Xbox, you’ll add games within a year of release, and now there is a priority cloud game for the Premium Game Pass library and for selected games.
Runt of the Lites remains necessary, which was replaced by Xbox Live Gold, good time ago. Staying $ 9.99 / 6.99 GBP per month (and I think that with a possible 12 -month purchase) is required for online games and includes a much smaller choice of games. This has now been doubled, from 25 to 50+ games, and now you can access cloud games.
All this comes down to how you employ Pass Game to eat games. Do you like the additions to the game pass ultimate, or or re -considering subscription at this price?
