The owners of Commodore Amiga were Broken for great sessions with original games such as Xenon II, Project X, SWIV and Bloody Money as well as excellent arcade ports such as R-Type. One of the title that stood out from the crowd was Apidiya, a game that abandoned spaceships and combat stations and replaced them with insects and ponds. It was completely unique and returns in almost exactly the same form.
Apidya Special is a full remake, not an imitated version of the original Amiga title and was developed by the original band, along with the dedicated super-Fan-Fan Apida. The modern version is based on an unpublished console port of the 90s, probably in the Sega Megadrive version and uses original resources with modern pixel art. There is also a modern version of the legendary composer’s legendary soundtrack Chris Hülsbeck.

“We never thought that after so many years we would return to Apida,” said Peter Thierolf, the original creator of the game. “But thanks to the new technology, the appropriate team and passion of the community we can finally provide the version we have always dreamed of.”
