From calorie snacks to hidden statues of the Kerotan frog, Metal Gear Solid 3 from 2004 was full of various real Easter eggs, even if they denied the scenery of the game in the 1960s. One of the memory of tricks for players with the Eagle who could find in the internal areas of MGS3 (and MGS2) were posters of the current Japanese DGady Bożków-Modeli female, which pose to discover costumes.
These sexy posters return in the remake of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – with an additional accent. If you play in the Legacy style mode, the posters are just like the original. But if you play in a modern style mode, with a current angle of the camera on your shoulder, you will notice that although the models are the same, the photos have been replaced with the last shots of what they look like now, two decades.
In a recent interview for Family (and previously reported by Machine), Programmers with Konami revealed how this change was created. They say that their goal Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was about developing the game, remaining faithful to the basic essence of the original MGS3, and recreating his jungle to make it look extremely realistic. However, they also finally made miniature, unexpected corrections to the content of the original, with truck posters one of such corrections.
Apparently, the initial plan of model posters was to exploit higher resolutions of images used in MGS3. However, when the team decided to implement the older mode and a modern mode, they hit the idea of changing truck posters to reflect 21 years that have passed since the initial edition of MGS3.
The imaginative producer of Delta, Yuji Korekado (who also worked on the original MGS3), explained that in the modern style mode the band decided to reach the models contained in MGS3 and ask them to send modern, latest photos. This does not mean, however, that all models are dressed in bikini. The team asked them to simply send photos of what they look like now. According to Cormado, each model from the original sent in the pictures that include a glove, from sexy bathing shots to family snaps. “We would like players to go and find all the different types of photos,” said Korekado, with the producer of the Noriaki Okamoto series, adding that “if you know the original graphics, seeing the current photos really contains an emotional blow.”
MGS3 also contained problems with real video magazines and Glamor magazines, which can be used fun to distract the guards (the presented magazines vary depending on the region). However, Korekado said that it was decided not to update these magazine covers, like many publications that appeared, like the positions in MGS3, has stopped publishing since then. So real magazines that can be found in MGS3 remain the same in both versions of Metal Gear Solid: Delta Snake Eater.
Correction also expresses gratitude to all people who returned to work on the remake. He explained that the band was able to force Cythia Harrel to recording the bond opening theme “Snake Eater”, as well as Kyle Cooper, who designed the introductory film.
In the related messages of Lori Alan, who repeated her role, expressing the mentor of Snake Boss in the English version, stunned fans, seemingly publishing the latest photo of themselves cosplaying as her character:
Choose your fate, finish the mission! I can’t wait for everyone to experience Delta tomorrow!
You will have your mind!
