Over the past few years, it has contained a stream of visually impressive titles of Chinese programmers coming regularly. This trend lasts with Peaks and Tides, a game of a medium -leaf sandbox in the open world revealed the debut trailer on Thursday by the developer Ciancookgames.
Inspired by the eastern mythology of the peak and tides takes place in Everland, a world that the gods abandoned after a long blue war. Once, which once collapsed civilizations built by human tribes, were reduced to the ashes of 1000 years of conflict, and the hill-life, which once connected the kingdom of people and gods-yellow in the heart of the world.
After the departure of the gods of the nature of nature, which once rule, got out of control, which led to natural disasters that prevented the civilization of reconstruction. Divine leftovers and unique beasts created by the gods now wander the earth, poseing fatal threats to all bad luck enough to meet them.
Needless to say, this is a threatening and magical world, full of residue of the lost glory of humanity. You will go on a journey – either solo or with friends – to discover these residues, discover an extensive open world and facilitate rebuild the once powerful human tribes.
This journey will lead you through several biomes, each of which has its own unique challenges. Lushland is harassed by continuous floods, the Gobi desert is a home for crops that will beat dunes into fiery storms, and Mount Nyenchen is harassed by an endless blizzard.
To facilitate you survive these hard conditions, you need to build a base. You can choose any location and you will build from zero with wood and other collected materials. You can build your base on earth or in the mountains to employ the environment in your favor … or you can rise above this environment and build one of the giant animals from Everland from the back.
Many world beasts can be tamed, from a charming Owler to massive SI (pictured below), and each requires a different strategy. Some prefer offers, while others only respect strength shows. The benefits of taming each beast depend on its size. Some can be used as fastenings (including flying mounts), but if you successfully tame a huge enough beast, you can build your base on it – and boom, now you have a mobile base that can travel with you during exploration.
Although each environment has its own natural disasters, they all have vigorous weather systems that will change during exploration. You deal with rain, snow, fog and some types of terrain, they will receive special types of weather. But you will find that the weather can cause unique and unexpected interactions.
For example, if you wear a lotus overalls (an element of the equipment you can create), it will flourish when it encounters rain and suddenly you will be covered with flowers. And you can employ threats such as flood and sandstorm in your favor, luring the beasts in them to weaken them.
And as you probably noticed on the screenshots of the whole article, the visualizations of Peaks and Tides are eye -catching, built into the Unreal Engine 5, but while maintaining a clear identity thanks to his inspiration of Eastern Mythology. Lushland’s bearing looks like something pulled out of the fairy tale, while the snow of the feet in Mount Nyenchen is treacherous and threatening.
