Not to mention the zombie, MR X or Lady D. Resident Evil has a recent final opponent – the terrifying Sowa Duolingo.
For unknown reasons, the official account on social media Resident Evil began to publish photos of Duolingo Owl terrorizing Leon S. Kennedy in the distorted version of Resident Evil 2 (thanks, Machine).
Here, Duolingo owl – or buff, Supersited Itsing – you can see that it replaces perilous MR X in images that have more about them than AI breeze. “Our new biological weapon,” says the official Resident Evil account, marking the official account of Duolingo Japan. “Go. District language learning.”
By raising Brandter, Duolingo Japan then responded with the image of the teenage Leon S. Kennedy hunted with a mascot, now dressed in a hat in the style of MR X. “Leon, you did not do today’s lesson, right?” The signature sounds. Sip.
Resident Evil then responded with Leon’s image with a Duolingo to learn Spanish – a nod to Resident Evil 4 events, which is imprisoned in rural Spain. The application even shows a lesson set by one of the infected games. “History of my life”, reads the text accompanying the text.
To sum up this bizarre saga, the last post from Duolingo Japan shows his mascot, again dressed in Mr. X’s hat, extending his hand, standing in front of the burning police department Raccoon City. “I will chase you everywhere as long as everyone can play in Resident Evil in English,” says post.

Why all this is happening, it is not clear – and Duolingo definitely did not exist in 2004, when Resident Evil 4 events took place. But at a time when Resident Evil fans asked to update Leon, not many of this had on their bingo cards.
Maybe that’s why Leon is missing in Resident Evil Requiem? This is not because he is now too experienced by an agent of terrifying horror game, as Capcom argued – it is because he was still stuck somewhere, trying to learn Spanish to satisfy the Duolingo owl.
Capcom recently claimed that Requiem will long be expected to return to the “parent narrative” Resident Evil, started 30 years ago, after launching newer games, such as Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village, which focused on events set elsewhere. I hope the owl will not appear.
