There is a lot to say about basic things in life. At the beginning they are often affordable – and the equipment is not much cheaper than this microphone of the Amazon USB capacitor. You can pick up one of those diminutive tiny units for ordinary ones $ 26/£ 23 In Amazon, although it must be said, it is a type of price that makes me think every audio equipment with suspicion.
The opening of the packaging, however, reveals a surprisingly solid tiny microphone. While the chassis and stand can be plastic, it is a broad, matte variety, which immediately makes me feel like a well -built product. The grille is metal, the weight is calming, and the plastic ball connector in the base of the stand remains in position after tilting.
Speaking of this, I think the selection of the project was a bit strange. Stationary microphones often tilt at the top of the pole, not the base, although I can’t deny that the unit of tiny foundations raising its snot at a defective angle is a charming addition to the desk. Despite this, even at its maximum angle, the basics remain resistant to falling on a flat surface, despite the weight at the top of the frame.
Perhaps this explains the lower ball rates and gives the impression that this microphone had much more thoughts in its construction than you can expect for the price. Belt here, people: I think I can sense the motive.
Amazon Basics USB microphone specifications
Being the basic unit of Amazon, you probably deduced that you don’t get many accessories for cash. Here you get a microphone, a stand to which it can be fucked up, and a USB Type-C cable to type A, which is so short-even though what is worth, it has reached the back of my computer on the desk.
If you keep the machine further (or on the floor), you will probably want to take into account the longer cable to the equation to achieve. This cable also likes to break down and is not quite the same quality as the rest of the configuration.
Software functions are … virtually non -existent. No software means that there is a lack of noise, and this always makes me raise an eyebrow when it comes to condensing microphones. Unlike animated microphones, condensing models have a wider scope of capture, which makes them susceptible to collecting a vast amount of unwanted noise. However, it makes them also suitable for collecting vocals from a distance.
Which little Amazon microphone makes admirable. I was really impressed when I did my first audio test with this microphone and since then he is impressive in a similar way. He receives well from a stationary position, and the vocal tone he captures is surprisingly rounded and neat for such a affordable capsule. This is also not very susceptible to noise, although you can definitely hear in the background the hiss from my laptop fans repeatedly heard.

Sure, the sound does not have a golden, “studio” quality that you can expect from a really good (and likely, quite high-priced) unit from such as Shure, but this is not really the Little Basic market. It is a microphone designed to capture a clear, rounded vocal from the desktop to obtain absolutely minimal entries and is brilliant in it. It records a 16-bit sampling speed of 48 kHz, which is realistically everything you need to capture a good sound. Sure, 24-bit would be nice, but for most users it is really unnecessary-and the basics prove this principle in one attack.
Like most condenser microphones, it will capture this greater wealth than the tone, the closer you bring it to the mouth. The basics make it easier, going a step further and allowing it to be screwed at any 5/8-inch thread arm, which is almost all.
This means that you can get it closer to a sound similar to the podcast and although it becomes a bit tiny if you bring it Really Close (foam pop-filter would have miracles here), I would say that you can absolutely apply it as a budget jet microphone. Of course, as long as you were careful.

In addition, it has a button at the front, which is simply useful if you plan live with vocal considerations to the Internet. You would be surprised how many budget microphones omit this function from the specification sheet (as the brilliant Razer Seiren Mini), but it is positive, clicked romance with a tiny cable to tell you when you are turned on and when you are muted. Everything he needs, nothing more. Like the rest of this microphone, I think about it now.
The rubber base of the rack also means that it is quite resistant to shock, and if you do not give it the right impact, the microphone itself does not make so terribly secret to allow its outer frame through the capsule, if you accidentally give her a tap. Of course, he will capture this tumor, but it should not make the listeners throw away gaming headphones in disgust.
Buy if …
✅ You have a restricted budget: In only $ 26, I can’t come up with anything else in this price range, which does it better than Amazon basic unit.
✅ You want zero complications: This tiny Amazon microphone almost defines the term “plug and play”, which is extremely refreshing.
Don’t buy if …
❌ You want to cancel the noise: Being a condenser microphone, the basics collect other sounds in the room – and there is no software that will support isolate the voice.
So I ask myself what more do you need in a microphone than that? Well, the above -mentioned noise ranning functions would be nice. Perhaps some accents for RGB design would make it look nicer on the stream, and although the audio capture is perfect for money, the more high-priced microphone will make the vocals sound good, more high-priced, due to the lack of a better date.
I don’t think MIC Amazon Basics gain a lot in professional recording studios, but on the desk? I can’t come up with anything better for cash.
Or anywhere nearby, if I’m truthful. It is really amazing that this microphone worth 26 USD works as well as it does, and this is a great example of the philosophy “Keep it simple, stupid” that I like so much. There is a plug and the game as you like, it seems that it will last summer and sounds good enough to apply almost everywhere where you want to capture your vocal shades so that everyone can hear.
Which makes this my recent favorite budget microphone. So if I’m sorry, I have the best microphone guide for updating games. Join me to see all other options, right?
