“Something is wrong”: Fortnite is doing something strange, but brilliant with OG mode – which is no longer just a copy of the original coal

Fortnite fans are now sure that in the classic OG mode something modern and mysterious is happening in the game – which is clear, it drops an additional layer of history.

Let’s summarize. Last weekend, the OG Fortnite mode, which is slowly riding a bike through the original seasons of the game, finally reached the first live event of the Royale Battle, which can be seen in June 2018: Rocket premiere. But this time things were not the same.

Although this is another chance to watch the same iconic live event from 2018, there were several significant differences. Sure, the fans saw the premiere of Fortnite rocket, mysterious broadcast, and the spaceship disappears in the gap, leaving a huge crack in the sky. But this crack is now a ominous shiny redInstead of the original blue – and there were other, more subtle changes.

This modern version of the rocket premiere began with the Red Rift butterfly, which appeared next to the players, which is the first signal that something is different. Rift butterflies are usually blue, with the currently related to the events of the main story Battle Royale / Zero Build-and red demonic demons from the portals. Is this a crossover? Or maybe the red one is simply to suggest that something is wrong?

Players with the Eagle noticed something strange for the first time in OG Fortnite mode last month, when the lost maps of the maps began to flash message in the Morse code. These bunkers existed around the island of Fortnite during its original incarnation – but it is not much famed. Suddenly, in this modern version of the game, they flashed and exhausted the lights to spell the message: “something is wrong.”

Fortnite comics finally revealed these bunkers as belonging to the imagined order. One of the main antagonists of Fortnite knowledge, and secretly conducted the original Fortnite island as a battlefield to defend its source of power.

At this point of the original history of Fortnite, players had no idea who Io were or what the bunkers were for. Similarly, players still had to find out who the guest was – a mysterious rocket pilot – and what he was a member of “The Seven”.

Of course, seeing the OG Fortnite mode in 2025, players already have the whole context – and it is nice to see that epic games are having fun – at the same time suggesting players that what they see takes place in a slightly different branch of Multirse Fortnite.

Do you remember the original Fortnite return in OG mode as an impression of a constrained time that ended with a remix version of the Black Hole event live in the game? It was the moment, called the great explosion, which properly gave birth to many Fortnite realities as part of his own game knowledge-giving himself the reason why Fortnite suddenly offered Lego, races and branching of music.

So, with the OG-KTY mode, Epic Games later also submitted a eternal offer-here is the fact that this is not just a look at the past of the game, but something that coexists and can still offer fresh surprises. (This is a shapely reason why OG contains remixed versions of classic leather, such as a guest – because they come from a different reality multi -vers).

What next in OG mode? Well, from that moment the story of Fortnite has really started, and Sky Crack Spawing Kevin The Cube, introducing Zero Point MacGuffin, IO, Seven … Although how they will all be presented in the OG version, it turns out. For now, Mini Red Rifts is currently appearing and significant parts of the original island disappear – such as the sign in Lonely Lodge or Motel.

Meanwhile, in the main mode of Battle Royale / Zero compilation, the history of the current season is approaching the final closure of this weekend in a completely modern culminating live event with the participation of Superman and … Kraken? Watch out for this Saturday, August 2 at 14.00 Eastern.
