Here is a truly budget case on the PC, which impressed me how good it looks, taking into account its cost. Here is the Edition Thermaltake S100 TG Snow, and this is simply a fancy way to say that it is a white chest with a side panel with tempered glass.
Because its price is one of the best functions, we note early. The S100 will cost you USD 70/£ 40. Sometimes it was even more affordable, but it seems that this is the price you can expect for this month to month. One thing to consider for this price is that you will probably have to buy a set of fans for its front. There is one contained in the box, the basic black fan matched to the rear exhaust, although it is rated only up to 1000 rpm. Even with a set of three fans, you can still expect less to pay for the Snow Thermaltake S100 TG than our best budget, Phanteks G400a, although the latter has its advantages.
Thermaltake describes the S100 as a “micro housing”, which means that it will only fit into micro-ATX or smaller motherboards, not a full-size ATX unit. This means that you are a little more circumscribed than some, but inexpensive motherboards are, more often than not, so you will not have difficulty finding something that matches inexpensive. Although I generally do not recommend a mini-ITX in this matter-I did it for my test compilation, because I did not have a micro-ATX around it, but in general you will pay more for a mini-ITX than even ATX, and you do not get the benefits of truly mini machines. Take a fractal terra for that.
As I mentioned earlier, there is a tempered glass side panel in this inbox. To my surprise, however, it is kept with two hinges. This ensures very uncomplicated access to the guts, especially when the panel can be easily lifted from the hinges. For all computers that I am currently building, I still like the best hinge case for general exploit. Corsair ICUE 5000T, which I exploit for my own game computer, which also has hinges, and I constantly exchange parts from it. However, unlike Corsair, Termaltake is not able to secure the hinged panel, only gravity, which means that you need to be more cautious shipping – the panel may slide if the computer is completely upside down. I will stop talking now.

The process of compilation with the S100 is elementary. In front of the motherboard tray there is a lot of space and is surrounded by cutouts for cables at the top, bottom, side, and even above the dog cover to weaken the graphics card. The shroud of the dog stretches almost at the back of the housing, offering a lot of space underneath and leaving only a tiny cut at the front for all fans that you can mount.
The housing offers a decent clearance on a graphics card at 330 mm, although you will eat some with fans mounted in an ordinary front position. The XFX Swift RX 9070 XT is a bit too gigantic, speaking from experience, because it measures 325 mm and collides with front fans. You can, MaybeFelt some fans outside the fastening, behind the front panel, but because the front panel uses lateral ventilation and there is no mesh at the front, you will probably seriously reduce the air flow. Better just play safely and stick to the usual configuration – Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Eagle OC ICE SFF FIT without a problem.
Although you need to tear the extension nest cover to install the graphics card, and then you can’t give them again. This is not a huge problem, if you only detach two of them, because most GPU needs only two, but if you exploit a different additional card or exploit a triple card, you delete more. This is just a problem, if then replace something with a smaller unit or you completely get rid of it, leaving an ugly gap in place.
There is no place here for any fans mounted on the side, just like the trend in today’s cases, but the S100 maintains simplicity. If you exploit a liquid radiator, it’s best to stick to the standard configuration with an inlet at the front, exhaust at the back and liquid radiator radiator. Or you can try to squeeze the radiator in the front, but you will give up the best place for inlet fans and limit your GPU process even more.
There are several limitations of quantities to remember when it comes to cooling. Thermaltake suggests a maximum size of 280 mm for the position of the front and upper radiator mounting position, despite the possibility of matching the 3x 120 mm fan at the front. This is likely because it is a bit tight squeezing around the upper part of the front and front IO housing, which was a bit troublesome to circumvent, even with a comfortable three fans in one that I used for this compilation, Sewgleflow Edge 360 Cooler Master.
Buy if …
✅ You want a white compilation that does not break the bank: You can get a great base for a white computer, and with the decaying costs of white components, you don’t have to spend the world to get it.
Don’t buy if …
❌ You want something that will survive some good compilation of computers: The basic case may last a long time, but the underestimated expansion gaps and awkward cable management options will make up improvements, especially gigantic, some pain.
If you prefer to stick to air cooling or just want to save some cash on an inexpensive air radiator, there is a lot of space for it. In this case, I installed Hyper 612 Couler Master’s tip, which is a massive radiator according to most indicators, and fits easily. However, I moved the rear flue gas to sit over the air cooler, not directly behind it to escalate the air flow.
Everything on the spot was impressed by the stunning appearance of this matter. It’s quite elementary, spotless and does not stand out too A lot, but white is a uniform color in the whole housing, and the subtle front panel looks good on almost every desk. Black attractions on the side panel, hinges (Darn, I said it again), and the fan actually helps to create a look that looks deliberately with white and black components – you don’t have to spill on the white power supply. All in all, this is one of my favorite compilations from the last few months, despite building others with much more costly parts.
In the case of a 70 USD/40 GBP case, there is a lot to like. Sure, there are some characteristic signs of corner cutting to reduce costs, such as unreleased the possibility of extensions, no options for managing the cable at the back (you need to settle for a few metal loops and lock motorcycles), and only ports of type A on the front of the IO (2x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0), but the basic base is well made.
