Check out the first trailer for Captain America: Brave New World, showing us what’s in store when Anthony Mackie once again takes up the shield and fights villains in America’s name.

All the gigantic actors get plenty of screen time in this debut trailer for the film, which hits theaters on February 14, 2025. From Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America to Danny Ramirez as Falcon to a mustacheless Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. Oh, and we get a quick look at the Red Hulk at the end, because who doesn’t need a color change every now and then?

Like all good trailers, this one basically gives us a nice overview of the film’s plot, with Ford as Ross calling out Sam Wilson to propose making Captain America an official tool of the U.S. military, something Wilson definitely doesn’t seem to be a fan of. Maybe it’s the fact that Ross also explains why he shaved at the same time, who knows?

Amidst the bickering between the two characters, we see a fair amount of action as Captain America throws his shield and numerous objects get shot, shattered, or exploded, as often happens in movies and video games.

Additionally, Giancarlo Esposito seems to be positioned as the main villain, which could suggest that there have been some major changes made to him considering he is a relatively modern addition. at least in terms of confirmation – joined the cast of the film and only recently filmed his scenes.

Then there’s the gigantic ending teaser – Red Hulk. We only see a shot of him grabbing Captain America’s shield and throwing it to the ground, so of course it looks like this could be one of the gigantic fights Brave New World will give us.

Why is Hulk red now, you ask? Well, maybe because he knows a modern Shrek movie is in the making and doesn’t want Captain America to gain a psychological advantage by yelling “Get out of my swamp!” at him as a taunt. That’s our headcanon and we’ll stick to it.

Okay, stop screaming, we know it’s Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross doing something.
