The Elden Ring mod basically turns it into Bloodborne

Published:

Elden Ring modder essentially turns the entire game into Bloodborne by introducing weapon tricks, firearm parrying, quick steps, enduring night, and more scares.

As reported GamesRadarNexus Mods user Noctis created Graceborne: Bloodborne Inspired Overhaul, the name of which obviously combines Bloodborne with the “grace” of Elden Ring. The mod is “still in its infancy” but aims to “transform the core Elden Ring game into a more grim and sinister experience.”

Noctis recently shared a video on Youtube asking modders to support make the mod because “taking on the full scope of Graceborne on my own would simply be impossible.” Despite this, Graceborne already has 22 armor sets, 35 weapons, 17 tricks, and five firearms.

The mod aims to add more than just Bloodborne inspired weapons and armor, as it instead tries to recreate the whole gothic horror feel. This isn’t someone recreating Bloodborne in Elden Ring, but someone putting a Bloodborne filter on it.

The alpha build is currently available for download, and alongside the myriad of armor and weapon pieces, it features gameplay additions including “weapon parrying, no loadout, fast steps when locked, perma-night, Bloodborne-style healing,” and more, Noctis said. “It also replaces the appearance of several mobs and bosses to match the redesign aesthetic.”

This is likely the closest fans will get to playing Bloodborne on PC, as the PlayStation 4 exclusive has yet to join the other Sony titles that have made the jump. Modders have been challenging at work emulating the experience, including adding Bloodborne models and weapons to Lies of P.

Elden Ring is still very much a fan favorite in its own right, of course, as both the base game and the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion received 10/10 reviews from IGN. Its release in June 2024, along with FromSoftware’s assurance that it would be the only Elden Ring expansion, left fans wondering what would happen next

Company president Hidetaka Miyazaki has not revealed any details yet, but he admitted that even Elden Ring is not his ideal RPG.
