Religion. Boy, this is a loaded topic of mobile games site, right? But don’t worry, we’re not here to discuss philosophy. Although I do not think that it is controversial to say that religion in games rarely works well. But sometimes something that really convincing emerges from the true desire to present a story by a lens of faith, for example in the case of snake and seeds.
Inspirations from the iconic Superbroths: Sword & Swincery EP, The Serpent & The Seed (as you can guess) tells various stories derived from the Christian Bible and The Old & New Testament. From the Eden garden to the Apocalypse, you learn all the key moments that some of you who have grown up with this religion may already know.
Aesthetics, music and general snake and seed design are convincing here. It offers a surprisingly thrilling version of the Bible stories in the company of the musical talent of the Superbroth composer Jim Guthrie.
At the beginning …
Religion in games can be challenging at best. But Serpent & The Seed combines the story based on mini -by minigas and the parent narrative, which makes the game more like the game and the narrative of faith.
With this in mind, although some may avoid it in the case of contradictions with their own beliefs, because people are open to the idea, it is worth trying, if only to experience stories that define this faith from a fresh perspective.
Unfortunately, we do not have a list of faith -based games that you can review. But if you want to overtake the game with many fresh release, check our function of the same name, which we look at the very gloomy and worse anguish halls!
