The owner of Nintendo Switch 2 warns players against buying used physical games after he was banned unknowingly playing cloned versions.
Last month, it was reported that Nintendo was falling into piracy and began to block access to online services on Switch 2, if players were caught using MiG Flash, a tool used to create copies of games.
However, it seems that even innocent players are not protected from the strict policy of the anti -Pirate company.
As reported IgnRedditor ‘Danthey“He shared a post in which it was found that they were banned by Nintendo after loading the original Switch games, which they bought on Facebook Marketplace.
The user explained that although physical copies were justified, they later discovered that the games were already copied by the original owner, which was the reason why their console was limited.
“Switch users – watch out for the purchase of used switch 1 games. You can be banned if the evil actor dropped him,” said Danthey. “I was forbidden and detached after the usual download of patches up to 4 Switch 1 games, which I bought on Facebook Marketplace.”
Danthey explained in the thread that they unknowingly played the original switch inserts that were cloned using a piracy -related device.
“Basically, a thief buys/rents a game. They make a copy for themselves with Dumper MIG,” said the user. “They sell the original game and store a copy for each other on their sig. Then they will both be banned when Switch 2 goes to online mode. Only one of you has prams, so he is a person who will be detached.”
Fortunately, Danthey was able to be released after talking to Nintendo customer service and providing their purchase and conversation from the Marketplace seller on Facebook.
“I contacted Nintendo’s support and found out that I was banned,” they said. “They told me to pull out the market list on Facebook and took some photos of cartridges. The whole process was painless and brisk.”
“Danthey” added: “The amount of information they had is crazy.”
“They saw my DDWRT end points, a brand of my memory card, they even knew that I had an EVGA mouse and a keyboard connected to my switch 2” – they continued.
Another user had a similar situation last month after the purchase of a used Switch 2 from Walmart, but it was found that it was “walled up” by Nintendo after starting.
