I recently found out that I was very wrong for controllers for some time. When I played local multiplayer games, I reached for “good” controllers-the first for consoles-I gave cheaper third parties to anyone else.
This habit persisted when I took care of the PC games. The only choice in my mind was Microsoft or Sony Pad, which started from 60 USD (although they are now more like 70 USD). Then last week, desperately desperate to an affordable controller to my newly lower steam deck, I shot at 8bitdo Ultimate 2C Wireless now 35 USD in Amazon. Holy smoke, when did the third controllers become so good?

It turned out some time ago. 8bito has been producing high -quality pads for years, but recently updated their basic wireless controllers with functions that even Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo cannot compare, such as Hall and Dryf resistant triggers.
The above offer is actually an improved version of my controller: the Ultimate 2.4g. This is largely the same pad that I employ every day-comprehensive pads to shift, vast faces buttons, analog triggers, clicked D-PAD-but is equipped with a wireless charging constant with a neat trick. Dock connects to USB, but you can also connect the 2.4g of the controller to a special compartment at the docking station, allowing it to be both a charger and a wireless receiver.
At 35 USD it is the lowest price, which is 2.4g per amazon. With a vast discount, it’s only five bugs more than my wireless pad 2c without 2c docks.
One reservation, which is worth mentioning: the well -illuminated version does not support Bluetooth, which means that this is not the best travel option. If you want Bluetooth AND doc, it is also misleading Ultimate 2 Wireless (60 USD), Edition Update 2.4G with Bluetooth and Switch support. Our Nick Evanson reviewed Ultimate 2 Wireless last month and loved it, although he noticed his shape of the Switch Pro controller, and PlayStation sticks are not his favorite.
Bluetooth service has its advantages (my 2C wireless controller will wake my steam deck from sleep in Bluetooth mode), but you will always receive the best survey indicators and reliability with 2.4 g, so this is not a significant victim for a huge discount.
It is also worth considering that the largest 8bitddo rival in the budget controller space, Gamesir, also has great offers. Our James Bentley wrote about his favorite controller, which appears on sale for 20 USD. I still used Padu Gamesir myself, but I think the cleaner aesthetics 8bitdo wins this day for me.
