Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Review

Kojima Productions proved that it is good in continuing. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is an extremely influential game that remains my favorite from director Hideo Kojima and his team. As a result, I went to death 2: on the beach with high expectations. The continuation of history in this fascinating world during the iteration of the Mechanics of the Delivery of the First Game seemed to be an inevitable recipe for success. Mechanically, continuation is absolutely an improvement compared to the first. The death of Stranding 2 is approaching shortly after the events of the first game, and the hero lived in the imposed insulation, while he raises his child without influence or demands of the government. Being a dad staying at home, however, does not suit him for a long time, and he quickly draws himself back to Porter’s life. I will not discuss what is happening in detail, but history is developing rapidly, planting many narrative seeds primarily on the up-to-date cast of characters and their history in the world.

Kojima Productions set a high strap of unexpected twists and revelations during its game. Death Stranding 2 provides many twists and turns, especially in the last hours, when I got the most involved in this story, but with the exception of a few moments, I was rarely surprised and often leaving more. I usually stared at the face, while the characters explained everything with detailed monologues at varying degrees of performance quality. Some effortlessly required my full attention, but the disappointing performances seemed bored teachers giving the same lecture for the third time that day. In addition, to be blunt, despite admiring the performance, I did not think that Higgs was a convincing villain in the first game, and I am disappointed that he survived the continuation.

I am in favor of what I call “Hideo Kojima Bulls —“. I have always eagerly pulled off the rails, but I have always admired Kojima in previous production games, there is their ability, for the better, fully justified narrative madness, in which you participate at least a few cases. Despite all my complaints about not feeling strongly at the narrative or I did not enjoy her strangest moments, I was still much more involved in this story than the average narrative of video games. What makes me come back the most, and the reason why I will continue to deliver after the publication of this review is the unlimited honesty of death 2. The cast fights for connection and future, and I support them, even when I think they are a bit strange.
