Fortnite has a fresh mode hit – and for the first time the main battle battle option is no longer the most popular

Log in to Fortnite now, and you will find that the most -played game mode is, very unusual, not its main option of the Royale battle. Instead, the fresh Blitz Royale was now ruled by a henhouse – but what is it? And why is this fresh offer from epic games so popular?

Blitz Royale began this week in the latest Fortnite update, next to Expeditions, the fresh story PVE LEGO Experience and Bruno Mars, who staged the fresh season of Fortnite festival similar to Guitar Hero.

But, as it happened, this is the closest to the classic Battle of Royale Fortnite, which broke out-for now Blitz Royale seems to find a fresh niche for players to try something faster and faster fire.

As the name suggests, Blitz Royale matches are intended to generate less time and improving players much faster than in the classic Royale Battle offer. The mode of mode, currently based on the classic OG Fortnite island, is a fraction of its size, the building is turned off, and the leveling system is in matches to grant weapons and improvements, which means that there is no need to spend time on the staff of the booty.

To say, other Battle Royale staples remain: a brisk -moving storm circle, restricted equipment and must be the last player. Over the next four weeks (Epic Games has not yet been found that Blitz Royale will be a indefinite addition), various pools of booty will be offered-in these items and authority medallions from various classic Fortnite eras.

Blitz Royale can be played in Fortnite on every platform, but is the first mode designed for a specific equipment: phone.

It is time to get soon after the triumphant return of Fortnite to the iPhone application store in the USA, after years of legal cleaning with Apple, Blitz Royale is to appeal to those who want Royale Battle, perfect for a brisk bus travel or a coffee break. Even the battle bus flies faster at the beginning of the games.

Accordingly, the Blitz Royale trailers claim that you can provide victory in five minutes – about a quarter of time usually necessary to ensure Royale’s victory in regular Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.

At the moment, Fortnite statistics show about 240,000 players in Blitz Royale, which makes it the biggest mode of playing with a certain margin, hitting 443,000 players during the peak hours of last night. Battle Royale currently has half of this number – 119,000 players at the time of writing.

“Blitz royale is s ** t,” wrote one fan on Reddit. “Seriously, epic – I love this mode, you cooked. I am seriously blown up and I have fun.”

“The mode surprises me,” wrote another. “I play much more aggressively than in normal mode and to be honest, it’s pretty cool.”

Epic Games will probably watch Blitz Royale and other fresh additions to see how well they are doing well in the coming days and whether any of them actually attracts fresh players to Fortnite, and also offer existing users fresh ways of playing.

The average number of Fortnite players generally dropped this year, according to publicly available numbers from Fortnite.gg. After the growth and significant jumps of players last year, especially around September 2024, Doctor Doom Global Boss Battle and November Events live, including a concert taking place at the Times Square and extravagance in the game with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice and Juices.

2025 Fortnite led the mini season of Star Wars, which removed all ordinary ammunition from the game, replacing ordinary weapons in Battle Royale mode of energy weapons. In the last season of the game, in which the return to the semi-regional focus on superheroes began to bounce. Next step, defeating the current hits Roblox Grow a Garden? Perhaps one at once.
