These seven tools below 50 USD greatly make my technological life easier

Published:

We all exploit different tools in our diverse, harassed life, things that support us do what we need, and I hope that everything makes it easier or less stressful. As someone who spends my professional life on running this site, testing and browsing all types of consumer equipment and building several computers a year, most of the tools I exploit and love to rotate it. But recently I also jumped into the world of 3D printing, and when I don’t work, I often tinker in a DIY DIY project, trying to make my little apartment a little nicer.

Below are some of my tools, from my trusted Hoto screwdriver (ideal for computers and putting on shelves), after an SSD cloner, my favorite minimum multifunctional tool and others. I hope that you will also find a few of those helpful in your life or good gift ideas for someone in your life. Most cost less than USD 20, with a few in the range of 30-50 USD. One thing that I can say for sure is that at least for me they are easily worth what I paid for, because they make the tasks vast and tiny easier and more pleasant.

A family member recently asked me for support in an older computer, which desperately tried to launch Windows 10 while resident of several programs on the ancient 110 GB SSD. I came to the conclusion that I could clone the drive of shoes on a more broad drive so that the operating system and programs had more space for stretching legs. But then the thought of using many USB housings or shuffling drives to my desktop filled me with fear when I imagined that I was there for many hours, and the system was back and running. So I looked for the M.2 SSD cloner and I was surprised, seeing that they could be found for just 49 USD.

Rosewill NVME SSD cloner is one of the more affordable options and although I do not like its shiny plastic shell, it supports both NVME M.2 disks and older AHCI models. The action is as basic as possible. You connect the attached USB-C power adapter, place the source disk in the left nest, target disk in the right nest, press the back button at the rear and a few logo is illuminated by informing that you are ready. Press the maple button at the top, and cloning will start (provided that the destination is the same size or larger than the source).

It is assumed that you want to make an offline maple. But because I also wanted to change the size of the partition between the ancient 110 GB and the newer SSD team of the 512 GB group, I used the second covering the USB-C cable to connect the Rosewill cloner to my laptop and turned on the device. In a few seconds, both disks were recognized in the windows, so I fired perfect free DiskGenius softwareHe cloned the ancient partition to a up-to-date team group team with a few clicks, and then used the software to drag the starting partition to the full size of the up-to-date disk. The whole process lasted only a few minutes; Rosewill cloner supports 20 GB / s USB, and I did not copy a huge partition.

When the cloning process was completed, it was strenuous to believe that it was so straightforward. I expected that I would be in my in -laws for many hours, but I finished in less than 30 minutes. Sure, unless you are in this, the drive cloner may not be something you exploit all the time, but it is useful. You can also exploit it to save some money by buying a laptop with a tight SSD and turning something much more peaceful – provided that storing the laptop is not soldered to the motherboard.

Rosewill cloner is also useful for checking the content of ancient M.2 drives that you can have nearby. But if that’s all you need, you can buy a NVME housing or a dock with one drive. I also have This model from Fideco, which costs less than $ 20.

🛠 Sangers Digital Caliper

Although I exploit my tape, more often at home, when I need something more precise, I always reach for my digital clamp. For years I used a plastic model with Harbor Freight and although it mostly served my needs, I always felt like a toy and did not have as many functions as this steel model from Sangabera. Would I trust that it would be as right as models that cost over $ 100? No, but to what I exploit it for – mainly measuring the thickness of laptops and making sure that my printed models are to scale and that what I want to print 3D will match my cobra cobra 3 v2 cobra, works well.

🛠 HOTE NEX O1 PRO 3.6V SET

Tools below USD 50

I build many computers and also work for myself and my family. So a screwdriver is a nice thing – and a vast screwdriver screwdriver makes my life much easier. I also have much slimmer WowstickBut I decided that the Nex O1 Pro Hoto is useful in many ways, thanks to the additional (and variable) torque. It is great to loosen the factory -installed PC screws, as well as good for furniture mounting.

Hoto will not replace my Dewalt drill for larger and more hard jobs. But in the case of mainly common tasks, it is mighty enough, straightforward to charge through USB-C, and even looks good on my table.

As a grandson of joinery, I sometimes work on wood covering projects (I finished Acacia Wood in my Testbench, which you will sometimes see in my photos), and more often now I often improve plastic 3D prints. So the tool to dismantle is something that I reach several times a week. You can get plastic handle models for a few dollars less, but this model costs less than USD 10 and has a nicer metal handle. It is also equipped with 12 blades and is in three color options.

Other common applications of the delving tool include scraping Burr from a metal pipe or PVC, cleaning conventional model parts and many others. This is a useful tool for many purposes, and this one has the best place in my desktop drawer, where I often reach.

🛠 Issema Spudger + Mini Isesamo Spudger

He had to have to crack open gaunt laptops, as always, while browsing them, Spudger allows you to get between the tight seams of current technology and undermine things enough to (hopefully) spend clips holding things together. You can try to exploit things such as guitars or (if you are very careful) of a tiny screwdriver. But Spudger is usually the best tool for this type of work, and this two -pack (including a mini model -friendly model) is worth $ 12, which I spent on it in 2023 (it also costs).

At least once a day I need an opening box or screwdriver. And of course, I could simply wear multi-layered tools, but it is convenient to have these things at my key defeat-and all the more convenient when this tool is essentially the size of the key, such as a tiny tool worth USD 10 USD from Keysmart. As someone who usually holds the keys in the back pocket, I really don’t want anything bulky. This basic multitool is a box opener, a flat head and a Philips head screwdriver. It was designed to be added to the modular system of the Keysmart organizer, but it also works well on a typical key ring, where it is always within reach when you need it.

🛠 Baseus 65w Flat Gan Wall Charger

This last choice may move the limits of the word tool, but so much from what I do and exploit every day, it is based on USB power supply, regardless of whether it is my laptop, Bluetooth speaker, my screwdriver, and even the scale that I exploit for morning coffee (and sometimes I consider the products I review). And this 65 W Z Baseus charger includes USB-C and USB charging ports and is so tiny and slim that I can slide it into any bag (or EVN in the back pocket), so I’m never without a charger for almost all my vital things.

It is also one of my favorite chargers for holidays or trips, because in addition to its tiny size its gaunt shape hugs the wall, helping to stay in used hotel sockets much better than larger or different shape chargers. Supplies to 45 W via the USB-C and 20 W Port Nad USB. So it will not charge everything as soon as possible, but it is doing quite well in pinching and I like to know that it is almost always with me if my phone or other device requires charging when I am outside.
