Rematch Dev explains what went wrong with crossplay, he apologizes for the lack of saying the player

Sloclap, a revenge developer, has released the lack of playing in the game, apologizing to the fans and I admit that he should inform the players that it would not start in advance.

Rematch, from the studio for Sifu and Absolver, is a game with a 5V5 multiplayer arkader, played from a third person’s perspective. Its last beta version was extremely popular, and 1.9 million participated in PC, PlayStation and Xbox. But the fans complained when Sloclap confirmed that the rematch would not have a game for the premiere, just a few hours before the start of early access.

Now, in the post on the blog made available to the press to coincide with the full premiere of Rematch, on June 19, Sloclap explained what went wrong.

“We understand that many of you could not wait for the platform from the first day,” said the studio.

“We did everything that we included playing during the premiere, but Rematch is the first cross -country title and we faced the unforeseen technical complexity, which prevented us from preparing this function on time. We should communicate as soon as it happened that Cross Gromplay will not be available during the premiere, and we are sorry for the inconvenience and frustration.

“It is very vital for us that our players can enjoy rematch with friends, so together with Fifixes, Crossplay is our absolute highest priority, we are involved in the quick supply of this function, and we will share a more precise term, and finally we will go to it and finally we will go to cerifications Forward. “

Elsewhere in the post Sloclap solved the performance problems that affected the early launch of access, saying that repairing them is a priority. These include delay, stuttering and drops of frames affecting the game. The customer’s server and desinc have also affected the quality of the matching.

“For example, we are aware of problems in which players would sometimes not be able to interact with the ball, with players and the ball apparently moving through the field,” said Sloclap. This is in the case. And then work is performed on breaking error games that cause failures, freezed after the goals and closing the menu.

In addition to these problems, Sloclap said that it works over upcoming updates: “With a lot of nippy content and functions that we want to bring to the game.” The four main areas of interest are the basic changes of the game, competitive functions (tournament system, a system of leaders for players above elite rankings, as well as a club creation system), social components (crossplay is great, but others include the spectacle of your team’s game when you join the team, and allow players to combine and renovate with team members with whom you play players against AIS.

Sloclap ended his post, indicating that this is a small studio, and all the presented functions that take time. “Remember that we are not a great team and that these functions require time, so don’t expect it all by the end of the year!” he said.

Despite the problems with launching and lack of play, Rematch is well received on Steam, where it has an assessment of the “usually positive” user review. At the time of the publication of this article, Rematch has 35,595 simultaneous players on the Valve platform, a number that looks like an uprising when the game will face on the first weekend.
